This school in Detroit used to buzz and sing with life and activity. But after it was damaged by a fire, it was shut down, and fell into decay for years.
When the folks at DetroitUrbex revisited recently to document the changes, they recreated some memorable yearbook photos by standing precisely the same, and aligning the camera angles perfectly. The result is truly unforgettable: the past is brought back to life.
These photos are not only haunting, they are absolutely incredible feats of technical photography. It takes incredible time and patience to get the angle and location of each shot just right.
But more importantly, these photos have managed to breathe life back into the places where it once thrived. And that’s something that’s definitely worth sharing.
